Express E-Mail Tutorial
This
tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Outlook Express to work with
your e-mail account. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft
Outlook Express 6, but these settings are similar in other versions of
Microsoft Outlook Express. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft
Outlook Express by using the settings in this tutorial.

mail.coolexample.com,
where coolexample.com is your domain name.

NOTE: If you experience problems with your outgoing mail, it
might be necessary to contact your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

they will provide the correct setting.

for your account name and enter your password. Click Next.

Select the "Advanced" tab
and change the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" server port number to 80. Click
OK. NOTE: Keep the port at 25 if you are using
your ISP's server for outgoing mail (see #5 above)
If you experience errors with
outgoing mail, you might need to check with your Internet Service Provider
(ISP) or the IT person that your office uses to see what they recommend
using for your Outgoing Mail Server. Your ISP might require you to use
their server settings. See #5 above.
